Exotac created the perfect fire tool for carrying in a knife sheath ferro-loop. The ferrocerium rod is replaceable so you won’t need to discard this tool when the rod is worn out. The tool is simple in design and offers plenty of storage for tinder or water purification tablets.

Pair the fireROD™ with one of the Habilis knives and a tinderTIN™ for an unbeatable fire it. We recommend petroleum jelly coated cotton balls for the ultimate fireROD™ tinder. Use the cotton ball on top of some tinderTIN™ fatwood shavings for the easiest fire you’ve ever started.
