We took our original waterproof socks and beefed them up to help you take on the coldest and wettest weather. Cold and wet feet can lead to all sorts of not-so-good things outdoors, including numbness, blisters, frostbite, and worse. Our Waterproof Extreme Cold Weather Mids will keep you dry and warm during frigid stream crossings, on blustery cold and rainy days, through icy terrain and deep snow, and even standing in cold leaky waders. With this kind of warm and waterproof protection, you’ll wish you had them sooner — trust us. Crafted with the thickest insulation, this sock is ideal for extremely cold and wet conditions where thermal retention is imperative. Using a three-layer bonded construction, a 100% waterproof hydrophilic membrane is sandwiched between a premium Merino wool interior for warmth and a durable nylon exterior with 4-way stretch lending to great fit and wearability. Sealskinz Extreme Cold Weather socks are designed warmth in mind. Using the finest Merino wool, we also add a layer of terry-loop knitting and added padding at the ankle. This loop knitting actually traps heat within the air pockets keeping you warmer when you’re in the most extreme weather conditions.

Technology

We pioneered the use of a unique hydrophilic membrane that’s 100% waterproof yet pulls moisture away from your skin at the molecular level — keeping you dry and cool all at the same time. And with a Hydrostatic Head of >20,000mm, our socks stay waterproof under the toughest of conditions.

Materials

Our 100% waterproof socks are constructed using premium materials and by bonding three layers together to make one highly waterproof and breathable sock:

• Outer Layer – 90% Nylon, 10% Elastane
• Middle Layer – 100% Hydrophilic Membrane
• Inner Layer – 41% Merino Wool, 41% Acrylic, 14% Polyester, 2% Nylon, 2% Elastane
